A terrible, charnel stench did blow into Carlion when a specter in lusterless armor, the resurrected corpse of King Ryons, rode forth to challenge the court for the past sins of the May Babies. To find the relic needed to save Sir Gawaine's life, the companions did sally into the blighted Wastelands of Listeneisse. There, at the dark stone Monastery, a malevolent hequibede did enchant their senses. Sir Avalloc was tragically separated and lost in the blighted, fog-choked wastes; yet by the grace of God, after many trials, he did reunite with Sir Cerdic and Ser Cwenhild as they made their weary way back toward Carlion. Gawaine was saved, and Arthur's honor vindicated. Cwenhild bore a child - a demon-seed - of the hequibede.
