The Serpent of Mildenhall
It befell in this year that a legendary monster, a Nucker named Cole, did emerge from the dark marshes of Gentian County and carry off the young boy Maeloc. The companions, riding to the rescue, did hunt the slithery wyrm to its watery pool. With steel and heavy blows, they did slay the fearsome beast, only to learn right sorrowfully that the monster had sought not meat, but innocent companionship, and had been a gentle friend to the lost lad.
Following this melancholy adventure, Sir Cadwallon did depart the immediate fellowship to continue his solitary, devoted service to King Arthur's crown elsewhere in the realm.
